AS A JUNIOR: Appeared in 38 games (eight starts at 2B, one at SS, two
at 3B), hitting .224 in 49 ABs (15 runs) ... hit 2-for-4 in 6-4 win
over Georgia (2 R) and 10-3 win over Akron (2 RBI, 3 R, 2B, BB).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Appeared in 56 games, with 47 starts at mostly RF (29
games, plus 10 at 3B, four at 2B, four in LF) ... hit .267, with 22
RBI, 21 runs, five doubles and one home run ... second on team with
14 SBs (16 att.) ... led team with seven sac. bunts ... made four
errors in 114 chances (.965) ... helped sweep Villanova (4-0, 10-8),
batting 3-for-7 with a walk, stolen base and sac. bunt (3 RBI in
first game) ... hit two-run single and scored vs. Providence (5-4)
... helped complete sweep of UConn (11-8; 2 H, 2 RBI, SB, R)... hit
5-for-14 in BC series (3 RBI, 2 R, 2B, BB) ... had two RBI and scored
in both wins over Seton Hall, (sac. bunt, 2B in 17-8 finale) ... hit
3-for-4 (2-run HR) in BIG EAST Tourney loss to SHU.
AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 47 games as backup infielder/outfielder
and pinch-runner ... made five starts (three at 2B, one in CF, one in
RF) ... hit .261 while scoring 10 runs ... did not make an error in
45 fielding chances ... went 3-for-7 in three-game series at Miami
(Fla.) ... scored two memorable, game-winning runs vs. West Virginia
... came in as pinchrunner in seventh (and final) inning vs. WVU,
capping three-run rally by sliding home for 4-3 win ... scored bigger
run vs. WVU 11 days later at BIG EAST Tournament, drawing a walk in
bottom of 9th and scoring for 5-4 win.
